Shifting To A Contactless World

Contactless payment methods are nothing new. However, with the increased concern in social distancing contactless payments have become a popular alternative payment method compared to traditional payments such as cash and swiping a card. Contactless payment methods can also be referred to as “tap-and-go” or “tap-to-pay”. These types of transactions use near-field communications to send a short-range radio frequency to create a connection between the payment device and POS reader. These types of payments can be made with a mobile wallet, phone, or NFC-enabled card.
